Smokey (Joe) is a friendly, very dark silver grey full Peruvian male. He is smaller in size and possesses great conformation. He has excellent density and fiber coverage from his nose to his toes. At 4 years of age, Smokey possesses a 22 fiber micron count, which falls in the baby alpaca softness category. Smokey was sired by Maplewood Farm's blue ribbon fleece winner, Peruvian Pewter who is grey and has a 16 fiber micron count. Smokey's grandsire is CPeruvian Silvino and his great grandsire is PPeruvian Felix. Smokey loves visitors and enjoys showing off his rain dance (pictured below). He was bred for the first time summer 2006. His first crias were born summer/fall of 2007 He produced an exquisite true black little boy out of a dark brown female. His second cria is a gorgeous medium brown girl out of a medium brown/white female. His third cria is an adorable dark brown and white girl out of a white female. His next crias should be on the ground fall of 2008 and we are very excited to see what he throws! We are offering breedings to Smokey at an introductory rate of $1800.
