Lady is definitely the alpha female of our herd. Even though she is cautious and always looking out for the rest of the herd, she also knows how to keep them in line. At her age, Lady still has excellent density and fiber coverage and possesses beautiful vicuña markings. Also, Lady’s grandsire is Peruvian Felix, making her ¼ Accoyo. She is a great production female and an outstanding mother. For an example of her offspring, see our full Peruvian herdsire, Smokey and our new cria Appalachia. September 1st, 2007 Lady gave birth to an 18lb light fawn/beige female cria out of Mr. Beau Jangles, a rose grey male. Lady is rebred to a full Peruvian silver grey male, award winnning Peruvian Bravo, for a September 2008 cria. Bravo's sire is Shades of Grey and his grandsire is Silverado so we are excited to see what this pairing will produce

Snowflake is a sweet girl. She possesses a wonderfully soft and lustrous fiber with fine crimp. She also has an amazing staple length. Snowflake’s great-grandsire is The Silversmith. Her sire is rose grey and her dam is brown, so she definitely has the possibility of throwing an array of colored crias. This September, Snowflake was bred to her our full Peruvian grey herdsire, Smokey. He has produced some awesome crias this year (please see his page for examples of his crias). We are excited to see what this pairing will produce. Snowflake had an exciting 2007 show season. She placed 5th out of a class of 9 in the shorn yearling female haucaya class at the 2007 Llama Fest. Snowflake also took third place at the 2007 AOBA Michigan International Alpaca Fest, in the light colored shorn yearling female haucaya class. The judge said that Snowflake was made to carry babies and has a body type that will make her an excellent production female. Snowflake is currently for sale. See our For Sale Page for details.

Apple was born a strong, healthy and active girl. She is the first cria born on our farm. She was born at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 1st, minutes after the Appalachian State Mountaineers defeated the University of Michigan Wolverines in football. Although we are big U of M fans and the loss was terrible for our favorite team, we decided to name our much anticipated cria Appalachia ...since she was nice enough to wait to be born until the game was over. She had a text book perfect birth th
at only lasted 5 minutes after mom's water broke. She was up and walking withing five minutes after she was born. She weighed 18 pounds at birth. She is very adorable, soft, spunky, and running around like she's winning a race. She has already stolen our hearts. At two weeks, she is already bossing our yearling females around and spitting at them wh
en she is not happy with them. With her mom as the alpha female, she already knows her place as the pasture princess. She is a beautiful beige color with a fawn stipe than runs from the top of her head to the tip of her tail(known as a fading fawn). Her fiber is already showing a bold crimp and bundling.
